State Of Implantation in Feurio!: The writer is fully supported by Feurio! We have a sample of this writer available, therefore we were able to test and optimize the Feurio! support for this writer in in detail. In particular we are able to test the writer with future updates of Feurio! and can react very well to error messages.

The writer is recommended for use with Feurio!

Remarks: Laptop CD-Writer im Format eines "Disc-Mans".
Interface: PCMCIA-Karte. Lauffähig (laut Herstellerangabe) unter Windows 95/98/NT. Noch nicht unter Windows 2000 lauffähig.
ACHTUNG: Der Writer erzeugt sehr hohe CPU-Last!
Footnotes:
1)On some CD-Writers the actually usable buffer memory differs from the size of present buffer memory. In this case first the actually usable buffer size and then the size of present buffer memory (taking e.g. from the technical specifications) is shown.
This is caused by the recorder requiring a part of memory for internal purposes or the number of maximum storable sectors is limited.
PRESUMPTION: Another possible explanation would be: Due to the error correction information and other coding a sector occupies much more space (i.e. not 2048/2352 bytes per sector but about 4000 bytes) on the CD than in memory. If the information would be converterd to CD format BEFORE storing them in the buffer, they would correspondingly require more space in the recorder´s buffer memory. This reduces the actually usable buffer size.
Example: Buffer memory = 2048 kb. Size coded sector: 4194 bytes -> 2048*1024/4194 = 500 sectors can be stored in the buffer. But in audio format these 500 sectors only represents 1148 kb (500*2352/1024), so the buffer really stores only 1148 kb audio information, although its physical size is 2048 kb.
