Feurio Frequently Asked Questions - Feurio! Track-Editor:
Deleting background noise with the Track-Editor?

Question: I want to delete some background noise within a track with the Track-Editor. How does it work?

Answer: Unfortunately this is not possible with the Feurio!® Track-Editor. The Track-Editor is no full wave editor - in fact it has never been meant as a full one. The Feurio! Track-Editor is a simple tool for the usually required functions when compiling a CD: Adjust level, set start and end positions, as well as fade-in and fade-out.
More functions would contradict the concept of the Track-Editor: The Feurio! Track-Editor does not change the wave files; it only hands over the information about start position, end position and so on (e.g. "Track 2 consists of file xxx.wav, from position 1 to position 2") to Feurio! CD-Manager or CD-Writer.
This concept has got many advantages (fast work because the files don't have to be saved, changes can always be undone and so on). But this concept does not allow editing the files - the expense for managing these features would be much to high and this could cause many errors, too.
For such jobs I have to refer to "full" wave editors (e.g. Cooledit, Goldwave).
Additonally I'd like to say, that I do not believe in "overloading" Feurio! with functions, because Feurio! would then soon turn into an unusuable and "unpayable" dinosaur - some wave editors alone are bigger and much more expensive than Feurio!®.
